Ventura MIJ ES-335 Style Semi-Hollow
Japan·likely 1970s
Notes
A 1970s-era Ventura MIJ semi-hollow in the ES-335 lineage. Ventura was a Bugeleisen & Jacobson import brand — guitars built in Japan, often at Matsumoku or related factories, and sold under the Ventura name in the US market. Japanese guitars from this period vary widely in quality, but the better ones were well-made instruments that have held up. The headstock and logo area on this example have been painted black at some point in its life — disclosed upfront as part of the provenance question with this piece. That detail doesn't change the playability or the sound. Exact year and full spec details will be confirmed as documentation continues.
Condition
Good used condition consistent with age. The headstock modification is the notable cosmetic detail; the body and neck are in good shape. Full documentation in progress.
Known issues
